Debbie has been the Treasurer for the Broward Assistant Principals Association for a number of years as well as a long-standing member of the Broward Principals and Assistant Principals Association Board of Directors. Debbie has long been a strong voice for the needs of Assistant Principals throughout the District and a leader for School-Based Administrators. We thank her for her years of dedicated service!
Debbie is the assistant principal at Coconut Creek Elementary and has been an educator with Broward Schools for 17 years. Prior to being an assistant principal, she worked as a reading coach and teacher at Oakridge Elementary. Debbie began her educational career in higher education at Nova Southeastern University. She also has experience as a professional developer for Just Read Florida! She continues to mentor aspiring leaders and teachers through the Office of Talent Development and as an adjunct professor and clinical faculty member at Nova Southeastern University.
Debbie’s accomplishments throughout her educational career are as follows. As an assistant principal, she was named a Caliber Award Finalist in 2012 and successfully completed the Intern Principal Program during the 2013-2014 school year. She has served as the Treasurer for BAPA for the past five years. She also represented the elementary schools in the Coconut Creek Zone for the North Area AP Council for 4 years. As a teacher, she received the Broward Recognition Award in 2006.
